Comments and moderation
Comments are available on entries only, with one level of replies. Comment likes do not count as competition votes. Sexual content, harassment, hate, threats, spam and private information are prohibited. Before publication, comments pass an automated OpenAI text safety check. If screening is unavailable, comments are held for review. Reports are reviewed by a person. Restrictions include a reason and can be appealed in Settings → Reports or through support. Automated screening also checks for potentially harmful violence, self-harm and illicit activity. A flag is not a finding of illegality; you may request human review through the appeal process.
Welcome to DareHit
DareHit is a platform for low-risk, real-world challenges, photos and short videos. These terms govern your account and use of the service. The operator is identified below. Do not use public deployment while operator placeholders remain incomplete.
Your account
Provide accurate country and age information, keep your credentials secure, and do not impersonate others. Eligibility depends on the country policy displayed during registration. We may request proportionate age assurance. Access below a country’s independent-consent threshold requires a separately supported, verified parental authorization process; that process is not available in this version. Do not register below the displayed threshold.
Taking part
Entry and voting are free. Creating a dare costs one credit. Choose an entry window of three hours, one day, three days or one week. Voting lasts one hour after a three-hour entry window, and one day after the other options. For new dares, the first published entry starts the entry window. Until then, the dare stays open for its first entry. Server time is authoritative and the interface displays local time. Only one entry per account per dare is allowed. You can vote for multiple entries, including your own, and remove votes until voting closes. Each account has at most one vote on each entry. Credits can also fund dare promotion: one credit adds ten promotion points. The displayed dare total combines member likes and promotion points. Promotion affects visibility without guaranteeing placement; it does not buy entry votes or change winner selection.
Results and credits
Vote totals are hidden while entries are open, visible during voting, and final after evaluation. Submission and voting deadlines stay fixed. Entries approved after the submission deadline are ineligible for that competition; their creators receive a decision and may appeal. One eligible entry receives one credit: highest valid vote total wins, then earliest submission time, then entry ID to resolve an exact tie. A credit award requires at least two eligible entries and at least one non-self vote. Empty and unvoted contests have no winner. Invalid entries and abusive votes may be excluded. Disputed completed results require a documented review and notification; corrections are not silently substituted. No cash prizes are offered. New dares also require a vote for the leading entry from a member with verified email whose profile predates the dare and who is neither its creator nor an entrant, including removed entries. Otherwise no credit is awarded, including to a runner-up. Existing dares keep their original reward rules.
Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of your content. You grant the operator a non-exclusive license to host, process, display and distribute it only as needed to operate the service, subject to your privacy choices and legal retention duties. Obtain permission from identifiable people you record. Do not disclose private information or infringe copyright. You may not manipulate votes, use unauthorized automation, evade restrictions or create dangerous dares. Live capture controls are safeguards, not a guarantee of authenticity. You may create dares promoting products, services or brands. If you promote your own business or receive money, free products, discounts, commissions or another benefit, clearly identify the dare as advertising and name the business or brand in its title. Claims must be truthful and follow applicable advertising and product rules. Do not require a purchase or personal data to enter. We may hold or remove non-compliant dares.
Moderation and account restrictions
Content may be held for review, restricted or removed for policy violations or legal obligations. We use automated tools with human review for uncertain or consequential cases. You can report content, receive an explanation and challenge decisions through support. Restriction notices explain the relevant reason. Urgent unlawful or dangerous content may be restricted before notice when necessary.
Service changes and your rights
We may change the service and will give appropriate notice of material changes. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. You may stop using the service and delete your account. Consumers retain the protections and available courts required by their country of habitual residence. Contact support for disputes; where applicable, you may use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or your national Digital Services Coordinator. Unresolved consumer disputes about purchases or the service may be submitted to Česká obchodní inspekce (Czech Trade Inspection Authority): https://coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr/. This consumer dispute process is separate from appeals about content moderation. Your right to bring a claim before a court remains unaffected.
Deleting entries and managing your dares
You can delete your own entry at any stage, including while it is processing or under review. Before results are settled, deletion removes it from competition eligibility. After results are settled, deletion hides the entry and its media without automatically recalculating the result or reversing settled credit awards. Limited result and accounting records remain subject to lawful retention and your data protection rights. You can delete your own pending or declined dare, or a published dare with no entries. Once a dare has entries, you can remove it from your profile; this does not delete the dare or other people’s entries. For an active dare with entries, you can also request cancellation through moderation. Completed competitions with entries remain available subject to privacy and moderation rules. Contact support for a privacy, safety or legal removal request; these requests are assessed separately from the ordinary content controls.
Creation credits and deletion
Voluntarily deleting a dare does not return its creation credit, including when it is still awaiting initial review. Removing a dare from your profile or requesting cancellation does not itself return the creation credit. If initial review rejects the dare before its first publication, we return the creation credit actually charged, once. A dare created without a credit charge does not generate a refund. This content-deletion policy is separate from withdrawing from a credit purchase and does not limit mandatory rights concerning failed delivery, defects, incorrect charges or other consumer remedies. See Credits & purchases for purchase withdrawal and support options.
